Struan Teague. Born 1991.
Painter and printmaker from Edinburgh, Scotland.
After graduating earlier this year from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, Scotland, Struan now lives and works in Copenhagen. Struan is an abstract painter and printmaker interested in how visual expression performs within a separate area to written or spoken language. Working across both large and small scale canvases, screenprint editions, and artist books, Teague creates a visual language of forms through a balance of compositional structure and intuitive touch.
About the work: Test Prints consists of a series of one of a kind screenprints ranging from minimal to complexly structured abstract compositions. These prints have been made over the course of the last 12 months by intuitively arranging and layering different combinations of separations from a range of editioned screenprints.
The prints was a part of Teagues show "TEST PRINTSS" at Limited Works in 2015.
